My current hobby appears to be photographing postboxes. It's funny how sometimes these hobby things just seem to come about on their own without actually thinking about it.

I sail quite a lot, im also a keen member of scouting, and have recently taken to the ukulele and am achieving a hobby of learning useless skills (slowly but surely)

Bluebottle is wierd.
Who would want to go around photographing postboxes when you can go around photographing milestones. I have a colection of hundreds of photos.......

I must admit I have photographed an odd mile stone here and there (usually about a mile between here and there). But I prefer postboxes.

One hobby I've had is visiting miniature and narrow gauge railways with the family. So far we've been to:
Abbey Light Railway, West Yorkshire
Bankside Miniature Railway, Hampshire
Beaulieu Monorail, Hampshire (Admittedly a monorail)
Beech Hurst Railway, Sussex
Bitterne Park Miniature Railway, Hampshire
Cuckoo Hill Railway, Hampshire
Eastleigh Lakeside Steam Railway , Hampshire
Exbury Gardens Railway , Hampshire
Hayling Seaside Railway, Hampshire
Hollycombe Quarry Railway, Hampshire
Hollycombe Garden Railway, Hampshire
Hythe Pier Railway, Hampshire
Kirklees Light Railway, South Yorkshire
Legoland Railway, Berkshire
Marwell Zoo Railway, Hampshire
Moors Valley Railway, Dorset (Possibly Hampshire until 1974?)
National Railway Museum Miniature Railway, Yorkshire
Paultons Park Railway, Hampshire
Royal Victoria Railway, Hampshire
Stansted Park Light Railway, Hampshire
Twycross Zoo Railway, Leicestershire
Viables Miniature Railway, Hampshire
Watercress Miniature Railway, Hampshire
I thought I'd visited every one in Hampshire, but have learnt this week that there's both a miniature and narrow gauge at the Bursledon Brickworks. That's next on the list of places to visit.

I think at the moment I spend most of my free time doing things for h2g2, so I would consider that my main hobby. I cut time off h2g2 to play computer games if there is nothing urgent to do. And then I write about them on h2g2. No idea if anyone actually reads it. I also read. Currently I read and also write about it on h2g2. And I build, paint and play with Warhammer 40k miniatures, but at the moment I have hardly any time for that. I think I should write about Warhammer on h2g2.
Oh, and every year from about October to April I play in an orchestra (we have a long summer break).

Hi Marisol, - your first post . Welcome...
I like to garden as well. What is strange is that when I didn't have a garden I had a wonderful container garden which I maintained despite being busy. Now I have a garden I don't have time to do anything with it. I even have to pay someone to cut the grass.
