New name!
I'm not really here Posted Jan 23, 2012
I have enough poo talk without calling my business after it. Although I quite like it as the title for a newsletter.

I likve Dogtivity, although I'm sure no one will have any idea what it means. People on fb like 'Specialist' at the end.

I think after all that, I'm going for Boredom Busters Dog & Puppy Services. Thanks for all your ideas though.

At play in the morphic field.
In a way it's a relief that 'scientists reject' the
notion of psychic relations between pets and their
owners. The nature of scientific method is itself
a threat to the happiness of animals generally and
pet owners in particular. (1)
There are many things in this crazy whirled where no
quantifiable data exists to support what to many of us
are obvious truths, happy coincidences and cosmic
mysteries. As the Beatles said, 'Let it be'.
Ya either get it or you don't.

on death row for 800 days because he 'looks like a pit bull'
as appeals are before the courts to save him from inflexible
the anti-pit bull laws.)

There are lots of 'Pawsitive' type dog training business names.
I saw that on the news yesterday, started a very profound discussion on Twitter (bit early and deep for me on a Monday at 6am) where one woman asked how her dog knew she was in the kitchen making a sandwich and appeared behind her.
Smell? Hearing? Learned that if you go into the kitchen there might be food on offer?

Doglet does that - and her chocolate treats package has a very special sound. I'll take bets it's audible from the end of the garden, through two closed doors - in a thunderstorm.
Time o'clock is fair enough but the bit I haven't figured out is how she knows it's Playschool day.

'Boredom Busters Dog & Puppy Services'
I wouldn't try to change your mind , but the following thoughts occur:
1. Does it matter that the doggy business doesn't come out before the end?
2. 'Services' might imply that you are a stud. Has anyone suggested you consider using 'Solutions' somewhere in the name?

People already think I offer services that I don't - I'm always being asked if I do grooming, or if I sell puppies, or if I take dogs that are no longer wanted! So I don't mind if I'm asked yet more daft questions.
Yes, Solutions was suggested, but I thought that sounded more like I did rescue than Services. I once had a fella that had a company with 'solution providers' as part of the name, so I did think of BB Dog training solution provider but in the end, as I also do so many other dog type stuff it seemed easier to let people think I do more than I do, than let them think I do less than I do and not phone me.

Well, me, in post 7. Sort of. But I don't think it's a good idea.
I think initially 'solutions' had a very particular meaning - it was about services, not products. So rather than buying a photocopier (which no-one does these days), you pay for photocopying solutions (leasing a copier including servicing, paper, cartridge etc).
Problem is, as KB indicated, people don't like it much, as it became ubiquitous and used incorrectly. I think there was a column in Private Eye about sightings of 'solutions' - 'sea food solutions' was my favourite....

An acquaintance of mine owns a mobile pet grooming business that she runs out of a converted van. It's called Van Gogh Pet Grooming and has an artist's palette logo on the side of the van. (We pronounce that 'van go' in our neck of the woods, not the Dutch way.)
Every time I see her drive by it makes me

I must be tired. Even reading that twice it took me a while to work out why that was funny.
