I'm getting quite a lot of spam at the moment to my Hotmail, but the filter is catching pretty much all of it. It's quite interesting to see how different people's experiences have been with the same systems.

Yahoo is pretty good with the spam filter too.
I have a number of accounts over several providers, which I use for different purposes. My own ISP account address I only give out to family, my Googlemail account is for close friends, one Yahoo account for general use, and a second Yahoo account for anything likely to bombard me with spam (eg - insurance comparison sites and the likes).
Google is my favourite - it just asked me for my mobile phone, but I just left it blank, and it was ok with that.

I have a couple of Hotmail accounts I use for forum signups and whatnot (one "public" and one "private" basically)... I used to find the spam filters atrocious, but they seem to have improved lately.
I have one Google account I use for personal correspondance and 'official' stuff like job applications (because it uses my real name as opposed to a screen name). I love it. I love it's functionality. I love the fact email conversations are done as forum-style threads. I love that I can create, save and send documents all from one place. I love Google Reader, and to a lesser extent Google Buzz (even though I do only have seven followers)
As for Google search. I rather like that as well... I forever hear people saying that they can't find things and that (as mentioned previously in this thread) that it only searches for what *it* wants to search for, but in my experience that's more a PICNIC error than a Google error. I've never had a problem finding stuff in Google, and that includes some really obscure searches.

Anyone know what's happened to google cache? I'm not seeing it on any searches currently.
Also, where have they moved the preferences to?
