http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/F77636?thread=8003243&post=105349931#p105349785 If you update/edit your Personal Space at the moment, your registration date will start to show as today's date. The Eds have asked us to not play with/use the new site until some bugs are ironed out. Might be a good idea to wait.

So far, folks who have tried to be early adopters/testers have lost long names with characters and now their longevity("seniority"?).
I think I'll wait a year before I edit anything about my account.

Hmm...too late. I edited out some malicious that had got into my PS...now it looks like I've only just joined.
My previous ID doesn't appear to have joined at all (field is blank)...maybe because I've not signed in?
Still, this ID is pretty new anyway. doesn't look like I'll be able to go back to the old one on this release.

I hope it's not a new feature which always shows us the date of the last edit, because if it was, I would have to leave my PS as it is, and it looks horrible in the new skin.

Good job that I got on the Census before the change, that's the only way I found out of my original date (at least the one that I edited my PS, if not my joining date).

I've reported this in Feedback / Technical as a Barlesque Bug. The first of many, no doubt.

I did the same for the same reason as Mu Beta - some tags that didn't matter in Alabaster. It's rather annoying.

Pants. Already done it. And I was feeling quite pleased with myself for getting rid of the funny tags. Gah.

Gnomon, what's the URL for getting the gML of an A page or PS?

There currently is none.

Interesting: if you edit an A page, the date isn't chnaged. One of mine says:
Created Apr 7, 2007 | Updated Yesterday
Since every PS used to have an A number, too, you'd think the same would work for it instead of completely changing the date?

That's what my Space says at the top, Bel (I altered mine during the Beta phase and haven't touched it since we went live).
It also has the date I joined in the info box on the right hand side so even if the date of the Space joined, it won't affect the date I joined.

In the new version, the date you joined does change though. Mine says I joined 17 hours ago...

If you edit an "A page" with the new system, the date _is_ changed.
