...and the ban on discussion looms, I'd like to just make a plea
for anyone who comes across any fitting new images to post a link
to them here for the benefit of my little blog.

Nice to give it another airing, Chris.
Best one I can find at the moment is this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/buffalopundit/3392744195/

Nice Icy, but I can't include it as a chance occurence. Which is sad because of all the great ones of people hanging around the Westboro Baptist crowd with signs like "God Hates Signs".

Looks like a chance occurrence, seems he is speaking at Tea Party rally, in front a of a banner saying something like "Government is our #1 Toxic Asset, We the People, blah, blah" but the legend in one of the images is "Toxic Asset" with this Republican at the podium.
The full banner would still be funny, I don't think the Tea Party really regard themselves as supporters of anarchism.

Wouldn't the picture be cropped anyway so you just got the three letters above the Senator's head?

Stealth "Jack" Azathoth Posted Mar 30, 2010
It could be cropped to say that, however about 3 or four clicks along from the one linked to, the banner reads "Toxic Asset" (still with 'ass' above his head). I was looking at it as an ill conceived banner to be in front of at any level of magnification, and that cropping for 'ass' is unnecessary for comic effect.

There was a lovely example of this kind of thing in Private Eye. It's also on a Lib Dem activists' blog....

with a UK election looming, soon all political debate will be effectivly gagged on hootoo,
as with the tony curtis phenomona, could we incorporate, some naughty-ness into our names
all in the interest of fun and done in the best possible taste

Please extend him my undying gratitude. It's probably the best example of the kind I've seen.
We need a word for this phenomenon, if there isn't one. Something like "photobomb" but more bespoke.
