Nah, we just went on holiday to England last week. We're in Scotland for the next three years. Z moved up in April, and I moved up in June.

And now I'm due to become a grandmother, I turn to the wisdom of h2g2 for advice for parents-to-be.

My three bits of advice to start with are:

1. If in doubt, the child has priority.
2. Don't panic
3. Don't listen to any advice anyone gives you

4. You can't spoil a baby with cuddles.
4a. Baby carriers and slings are awesome, but not all carriers are made equal. Libraries and meets can help you explore the minefield.
5. Get outside once a day if you can.

I agree, your 'original, reworked' version is far superior. I wonder if you'd consider our Update procedure, where the author can amend, or update previous versions? Personally, I'd really like to see 20 Guidelines refreshed and for you to feel ownership and pride in the Approved Version?
