OK, so we're all agreed that motorbikes are the dogs danglies, and as many people as possible should ride one, 'cause not matter what the cost, they're worth it!
Changing the subject slightly, anyone read MCN this week? Especially the bit about the bike built by the American Motorcyclists Association showing all the safety features ever thought of for bikes. Scary or what? Bangemann must be rubbing his hands with glee at that...

Oh good grief! Why is it that when you get half a dozen bikers together you always end up with a club!! As long a I don't have to be "Club Secretary" - been there, done that, ordered & sold all the t-shirts, typed all the newsletters, No NEVER again!

Does seem odd don't it? Bikers try and see themselves as the last true individualists but most are really slaves to fashion - gear, toys on the bikes, clubs, bikes themesleve all *have* to be the latest "in" types.
Anyway South West Bike show today and tomorrow, must go and buy al the latest "in" toys and clothes.

Never have been able to get into the fashionable bike thing - I just don't have to cash to go out & buy the latest, fastest best bike around. Then again, I don't really want the fastest bike around but one that goes round corners just a little better than my GS would be nice!
I think the club thing it down to the 'them & us' attitude we are all guilty of having. Safety in numbers against the rest of the world, united we stand and that sort of thing.

I like old bikes. Unreliable old buggers they may be but at least they have character!
