Who am I? What am I and why??
As one of the newest members of this community I guess I'd better introduce myself. Well, here goes.... (those of you with better things to do, such as tend to your towels, may take this opportunity to run away now. I'll just be here feeling hurt and offended.)
My real name is Andy Pearce. I'm 29 years old and occasionally masquerade as an undergraduate geology student at the University of Plymouth in England. I'm currently on sabbatical having been elected as the President of the University of Plyouth Students' Union (city site). :-P

I know this intro probably doesn't even rate as "mostly harmless", but it's a first attempt so I don't care! ( But I am open to suggestions for improvement, especially from white mice.)
