Erm, I think it's a bit mean-spirited to put someone down for posting a serious comment. That's what the site is for.

Especially given the popular opinion that askh2g2 is getting too 'jokey' as it is. I, for one, am sick and tired of having to wade through the day's games to find a thought-provoking question or debate. And the vast majority of people round here will tell you I am far from serious a lot of the time.
