What date did men first land on the moon?
Blues Shark - For people who like this sort of thing, then this is just the sort of thing they'll like Posted Jun 22, 2005
Ye gods, is this disgraceful canard still doing the rounds? I thought the 'we didn't land on the moon' brigade went the way of the flat earthers.
What really pisses me off is the insult to those who did risk it all sitting above the world's biggest roman candle to give us possibly the only time in the history of the world when the world was united in hope and awe.
And of course the US flag had a wire in it. How the else could it 'fly' at all with no ing wind.
I'd also suggest that any of these buffons try and do something on even a minute scale compared to Apollo and try and keep it secret. I bet they couldn't keep it secret from their wives for more than half an hour. To suggest that the thousands of people who would need to be involved in such a cover up have successfully kept it secret for 40 years is absurd.

In fact, the science and 'reasoning' behind this lunatic conspiracy theory are so shaky that last time I saw one of these berks in the box, he was demolished in five minutes by Johnny Vaughan and a camera man on the Big Breakfast.

I'd really like to know how they got the mirror onto the moon if they didn't land there.

The Groob Posted Jun 22, 2005
The recent documentary on Channel 5 concluded with words to this effect:
"To complete a successful moon-landing hoax would be so complicated and difficult it would actually be easier to send a man on the moon".
I didn't see it myself but I heard that Buzz Aldrin was accosted by a hoax-advocate and Aldrin had a punch up with him.

Yes. They could probably manage a moon landing hoax now, but I don't think they had the technology in 1969.

The thing that really makes the hoax-theory fall flat on its face is the fact that NASA admitted a couple of years ago that they deliberately tarted up the photos that were released to the public, on account of the fact that most stuff I've seen uses the photos as 'evidence' of the hoax.
