Does anyone know that ducks are the most universally-funny wee beasty in the world?

I've been trying to figure out why ducks are so funny. Terry Pratchett has a man with a duck on his head in his books. Why is it funnier than a crow or a moorhen?
Is it the big beaks, or is it the silly quack?
