Science?

Gosh what an interesting question!
I value science extremely highly - I loved studying it at school, went on to do nuclear physics at Uni, and even though I'd be hard pushed to explain string theory now, I still get excited about CERN, and new discoveries, and new ways of explaining the world.
Work wise I followed the maths part of my joint degree, and though I don't read many scinetific journals I do enjoy a decent documentary on telly - that swarm thing the other night was brilliant, but sadly Horizon has been dumbed down beyond any semblance of "decent".
I got very excited visiting the Kennedy Space Center on my holidays last year, marvelling at what has been acheived in such a short time in that field. This year I'll hopefully be seeing an eclipse (that's science, right?)
Human relationships - well, I'd find it hard to have a meaningful relationship with someone who thought science was a waste of time, or who believed that we were created rather than evolved, or who couldn't marvel at the sight of a star-filled sky . And if Dr Brian Cox is ever at a loose end I'll happily entertain him

Actually yes, thinking back, one of the loves of my life was with a very successful neuroscientist, and yes his love for, and success in that field was a factor in my finding him attractive. But he was quite a rounded person as well, ie he had plenty of other interests; without that I don't think I would have found him so attractive.

I once went on a date with a girl who told me that she loved maths, at which point I decided she was a keeper. I didn't get a second date, oh well.
I like to read up recent discoveries and technology and the like.
I also think that the general process of doing things slightly different every time to see what happens can be pretty useful in life, if you want to get better at anything.
