We don't get that* much solar energy.... from teh windows... most of them face an utterly wrong direction to get hardly any sun cept for the kitchen tis about the only room to get any sun I have an ide athough... if I sink the house into the hole, as suggested; the shop underneath the house might be a bit annoyed.....

That could be fixed with a cunning system of mirrors...

and some smoke?

That was how I came up with the idea.

well turn your house over, so that the roof is at the bottom, and the bottom is the roof, then drop it into the hole, just far enough that your part of the building is in the hle and the shop is sticking out of the grund, yeah they will have to put up with it being topsy turvy for a while, but your house wont be as giraffey!

i have found out that curtains actually serve giraffe excluding porpoises, the halls here have double glazing but there is a vent thing at the top of the window that i cant figure out how to close, so to stop the giraffes from making me cold whilst i am siting at my computer or elsewhere i have the curtains closed a lot of the time.
