I think you're misunderstanding the meaning of the word Sceptical. Possibly for comic effect.

Scepticism isn't supposed to give you answers. It merely means that you are able to apply a reasonable, enquiring attitude to anything proposed as a hypothesis.

Another word for this is "science".
