h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I'm looking for individuals who live in or around the surrounding areas of Portola Valley, California. In Portola Valley, there is a couple who recently participated in 'The Amazing Race'.

If any of you are viewers, you would know that it is Donald and Mary Jean, and that they were eliminated today (12/14/04).

It is very important that I find out their address; I need to mail them my gratitude. I'm not very big on television at all- and I usually hate 'reality television' all together. But there was something about Don and Mary Jean that made me watch this. I was so emotional over these first five episodes, shouting and yelping, crying and laughing with them. They inspired me, and gave me a boost that I needed.

People are telling me it would be impossible to track them down- But I believe through the H2G2 community, there must be someone who could have access to a Portola Valley phone book of some sort.

The website tells us that Donald is a physician, and Mary Jean a home decorator. Don is also a famous wine maker, so it shouldn't be to hard to find!

I need to write them.

How about writing them in care of the show? If you were to enclose a stamped envelope with your letter inside with another letter to the producer, explaining your purpose, I imagine they'd probably address it for you and send it along.

Mother of God has the right idea. I have done exactly that myself in the past. I listened to an interview on BBC Radio 2 some time ago and wanted to contact the interviewee. Sent a letter to the BBC with another letter enclosed and they forwarded it on for me.

I don't see any reason why any producer wouldn't do the same. If Don and Mary wish to remain anonymous, then the producers should write back and tell you.
