How do/did you manage with this?

To help cure my leg from muscular distension, I'm giving myself massages with rosemary essential oil. It really works, It has been used at home from my childhood.

The haematoma or bruise has almost disappeared.

Hot and cold baths help a lot too. Ginko Biloba is almost magic, it is used normally for people with bad memory or bad hearing as it makes the blood go to the tinest capilar.

Harpagofito, it has antinflamatory properties, and your liver doesn't suffer as when you take the steroids or no-stereoids medicin. Although at the beginning the non-steroid is quicker and advisable.

It happened on April 17th. I feel much better, but I have to stay at home in NO motion a week more. Right now my whole body aches a lot. I'm not quite sure what to do. My doctor only says, you are better, but don't play the brave.

On the other hand, I feel smiley - erm, despite having more time to spare in internet, mail friends, or read. May be Wuthering Heights is not the most suitable of readings...by now.

No, they clearly mean how do you cope with times when physically unable to do much. I injured my back and for several weeks was unable to do much, I certainly couldn't lift anything.
I think I watched a lot of TV and was glad to have the time off work to be honest.
I developed ways of coping and bought dried milk as couldn't carry much shopping. Feeding the cat was the most difficult thing as couldn't bend down, I ended shuffling about on my knees and pulled myself up on a cupboard to get back up and kept my hips level to avoid twisting back which really hurt!

I think the previous replies were intended to be lighthearted and not to be taken as genuine questions/responses. That's how I read them anyway. smiley - smiley

When I had my operation on my neck. Hubby thought it would be good to move things around in the spare room, as I had to stay flat on my back for another two weeks...

.. That was fine, until the cat found she could dive onto me from the wardrobes!

reading is good in such times. and revisiting children's classics is especially comforting.

I should have spare the herbal verbose introduction and put the question directly: What would you do if you had to stay at home without being able to move much?
