What Music at your Funeral?
Slugzzz Posted Apr 9, 2008
I would hope that someone would fit "Wish you were here" by Pink Floyd into my funeral... but if nobody really feels that way...
What Music at your Funeral?
I'm not really here Posted Apr 9, 2008
I made a will when I got divorced, but as I didn't own anything more expensive than a second hand television at the time it was mainly to name guardians for my son.
Now I'm a homeowner I keep meaning to update it, but haven't got around to it yet. It will still be much the same, everything to my son although I'd like to stipulate that my ex is not allowed to have any of it, at all, even if J goes to live with him. If he needs something for J, he's to be kept 1/3 short AT ALL TIMES as he's done to me every since we split.
I'd also like to name who should take care of my dogs (with some money to do so) and leave some money to PDSA because they've really looked after my dogs well since I've not been working.
Sorry for the rant.

"Sometimes" by James, "Cast No Shadow" by Oasis or, just for comedy value, "Alright" by Cast.

I think 'The Tourist' by Radiohead.
Or 'No Expectations' by the Stones ('I got no expectations to pass through here again')

I'm split between George Formby 'at a lampost on the corner of the street' and ...nah, I'll go with Geordie boy.

There's been a thread asking the same question around for a while, it periodically pops up again, but I can't look for it...
We chose Elton John and a heap of it, for my brother's funeral in 2004, and for mine, I think Within Temptation (the Dutch Goth group) sound good...

Something like an extended version of this.
http://www.virtual-bird.com/songs/turdus-merula.mp3
(And please no trite comments that it sounds a bit like what they play on Big Brother when they cut the dialogue for legal reasons. It doesn't. We're talking virtuoso blackbird here).
It does seem to be quite a contrast to what Vicky has chosen.

Hi, Everyone,
I have always said I want the New Orleans Funeral March, preferably with the band bouncing along the street as they do in New Orleans. It is so uplifting.
I would like someone to be able to assure me that I will still be able to see the face if the mourners (if there are any) because it is SO not the 'me' that they know
