A Conversation for Ask h2g2
The GiGaTHREAD (a clean slate)

A couple of days ago (sorry, I had a virus) in response to my suggestion that this thread was starting to sound like the chanting of "Kill the pig! Stick him dead" (from Lord of the Flies) kea said:
"I'm always shocked by how rude people here are, but I have found alot of it pretty funny as well, this time round. h2g2 as the school of hard knocks."
It is funny. It's rough and tumble and often hurtful to those with no sense of humour, or unfamiliar with the levels of cynicism and alcoholic buffoonery around here, but it is funny.
GiGaBaNe may well be the first to survive the gauntlet of h2g2 total immersion and walk away with his head held high, never having been yikesed or reprimanded or banned for life. And because he kept his cool, stayed centered on his message of peace and prosperity and kept turning the other cheek, my hat is off to him.

Ah, but he *was* yikesed, and rightly so. See Kea's last post...
For the most part, though, GGB has displayed a certain idiosyncratic serenity.
