firstly when i say terraform, i bear no resemblance to the exactitude of the term.
come on people you all know what i mean when i say that, so lets not waste time playing with words.
i intend to remove the sand
i intend to fill it with soil
i intend to build an irrigation and de salinisation plant that runns purly on the power of the sea for once a day rain for most of africa.
i wish i could say more but there is genuine danger for someone like me.
yes i have a use for the sand
yes i have a scource of soil that will not only not be missed, but by the very taking of it i prevent another ecological disaster forming.
as to grammer. i keep telling you people we are going to die at some point. time is short. and if you need a better reason than that, well i am worth a lot of money per hour at the moment so i dont have much time to share my mind, id rather just do it freeform.

"firstly when i say terraform, i bear no resemblance to the exactitude of the term."
So you yourself don't actually resemble terraforming. Well that's a relief then.

how can one provide content when all the quibbles are about form.
never mind my education, please focus on the topic.
or do i need to refer to previous world changers who had low educations?

you may mock, but i bet u where all nice and molly coddled by parents who gave you an education right?

I was going to mention that GiGa had said in another thread that English wasn't their first language, but I'm not sure if I am remembering that right, or if it's actually relevant

Well, it's a bit tricky to work out if what you're saying is actually just very badly written, or if you're genuinely potty...

Gigabane, how many people have signed up so far?
Also, if someone came along who could not only live your New World Order, but also prove they can strengthen it with fresh and better ideas, would you step aside and let them take over?

GiGaBaNE Posted Jul 22, 2004
i would not step aside, i would finance the creation of their empire, and learn what i needed from them.
english i supose is my first language, but i never had a chance to perfect it as a child, then when ejected prematurly into the world,i had been too busy surviving to improve on the superflous.

Crescent Posted Jul 22, 2004
potty? maybe, maybe not. I would have to see the whole system before I passed judgement However, it is not a simple society you are building there Giga. You may want to start simple and then start upping the complexity. On another note do the locally elected laws apply to the ruler? Until later....

the system looks impossible untill you put it all together.
the starting small is already happening.
ist about understanding the ebb and flow of rescouces and requriements
and then making sure you control enough of each to ensure all the material needs are taken care of.
people just need enough incentive and most jobs will always be filled.
thank you for your tollerance of my shortcommings. its not me on trial but the possibility of a new world order.

I have a much better system of government (at least it is IMHO).
Esentially you have one leader who is elected by the people and they have a number of cabinit members who run various departments in government (esentially what we have today). But rather than having an elected parliament, you have the entire population of the country. Anybody in the country who wants to (as long as they are not a convicted felon or some-such) just applys to be a members of this parliament and they become a member for a year. They are given secure computer terminals in their own home and get to vote on whatever vote they wish in their free time. The president proposes to votes for the parliament, and s\he needs parliament approval before s\he can pass any motions. At the end of the year the parliament must have a vote of confidence in the president. If the president is voted out then an election is held and a new president is elected. If a person wants to remain a part of this parliament then all they have to do it apply again.
This government would rule out the need for elections, referendums, and would get rid of party politics. It would cost quite a bit to pay for it all, but it would be worth it. And esentially everything would be the same; tax, roads, hospitals . . .
And I call it . . . Confederation (because it sounds really cool).

now if you where born in my society,if you would be willing to learn enough course work on the matter. i would actually finance you to set this up, and sponsor it as long as it is in the intrest of the people within it.

In my system, the people could vote to disolve it and install your system.

see a democracy of beliefs instead of choosing who leads the focus is moved to what should happen...not who should lead
