Name me some fictional doctors and nurses
Geggs Started conversation Jun 24, 2004
A friend is doing a quiz for the office asking people to put names to the faces of fictional doctors and nurses. But we need some doctors in order to set the thing up. We're looking for about 30 but we've only got 19 so far. We have the following medicos:
Franklin
Crusher
Triston Farnon
Seigfried Farnon
Charlie Fairhead
Kildare
Herriott
Nookie
No
Nick
Who (as played by Tom Baker)
Nightingale
Strange
Snuggles
Octopus
Zeus
Holiday
Zhivago
Bones
Can you give me any more?

How about:
Dr Jekyll
Dr Spock (the paediatrician, not the Vulcan )
The cast of M*A*S*H, notably:
Dr Benjamin 'Hawkeye' Pierce
Dr 'Trapper' John McIntyre
Nurse Margaret 'Hot Lips' O'Houlihan

Good game. Are you only after medical doctors? Otherwise you could have
Dr Henry Jones
Dr Henry Jones Jnr. aka Indiana.

Um, Dr. Spock the paediatrician isn't fictional.

Do they have to be fictional (I notice you've got the very real Florence Nightengale in there)?
If not, you can have Graham Chapman, Graeme Garden, Jonathan Miller, Harry Hill, Raj Persaud, Oliver Sacks...

As well as Bones, there are all the other Star Trek doctors:
Beverly Crusher
Dr Palowski
Julian Bashir
The hologram from 'Voyager'
The alien from 'Enterprise' - Dr Flox?

James Heriot, Siegfried Farnon and Tristan Farnon are technically vets, not doctors. They're also non-fictional (although the names have been changed - James Heriot's real name was Alfred White).

My friend reckons the vets count as vetinary doctors. Not too sure about that myself.

Much as I respect you Dr Vibestein, I suspect you may not be well known enough for 'average' people to know you from a photo.

Dr Strangelove! I was just going to mention him
If you were in NZ you could include Dr Ropata from Shortland St, immortalised in the scene where someone says "You're not in Guatemala now Dr Ropata". A highlight of NZ television

I'll take you word for it. We are based in Blighty so that might be a bit of a stretch. Though I think I remember seeing some eps of Shortland St over here, so they might be known, possibly.

My friend did mention him over lunch, but omitted him from the list for some reason. I'll ask him.

My friends says he couldn't find a decent pic of John Watson. Oh well.
He's reached his 30 as well now. So you can stop if you want to.
Or not, as the case may be.
