Possibly of limited interest, this one, but...

On Sunday last, Carl Wallbank launched his hang-glider from Llangollen in north Wales. Nearly five hours later he landed... on Weymouth Beach. This is a new British unpowered flight distance record.

Incredibly, in amongst the tasks of reading the sky, the terrain, the surrounding air, piloting the glider to maximise lift and judge glide, navigate around the many and various airspace restrictions in his way, watching the weather and how it's developing, and trying to do all this without eating or drinking at all (his drinking system froze shortly after takeoff - it was *cold* on Sunday!) - he manages to periodically switch his video camera on and off and provide a running commentary on his record-breaking flight.
