Are we going for maximum confusion this Halloween or what?

Mother of God, Empress of the Universe

I've always loved going in costume for Halloween, the anagrams are a brilliant way of doing it online, IMO. The name is superficial, the text (essence) should stay the same. It makes for a clever challenge whether you want to just read the text--sans context--or whether you try to figure out who is lurking under the anagram before hunting 'em down. Both are likely to make you rethink your assumptions, and there's nothing wrong with that when the smiley - pumpkin and smiley - blackcat season quickens.

That's good smiley - magic

Actually I quite enjoy that temporary change of pace too.

I just object to the overarching idea that at any time all posts should be read on their own and that context isn't important.

Anagrams are out? Darn, that means I must be part of the 'out' crowd.

"Nope, my opinion still stands,"smiley - book

Well so does Nelson's Column but that both of them still stand does not gurantee that either make sense.

"it can cause confussion which can be stopped by some simple identification mark."smiley - book

I like it when we agree kea, it saves me a lot of typing as you tend to contribute the same things I would have, oddly I like it even more when we disagree. I do like to chat with some people and yes it does make things more interesting to be able to carry on a conversation when you know what's passed before between you and the others taking part.

However it is sometimes a barrier to proper debate. If in a strange parrallel universe where weird things happen I said something nonesensical smiley - tongueincheek which contradicts a latter point I make which is the best thing you've ever heard what's the point in someone bringing up that I was talking like an idiot last week?

I have wasted a lot of energy on a big "war" which had as much to do with personalities as it ever had to do with ideas. In a lot of ways I regret that and sometimes wish that we didnt have identities in that way.

That's as elite as it gets.

I was thinking of doing an anagram myself, but the only one I can think of is my real name (which is available somewhere on this site).
