If you were one of those kidnapped Isreali soldiers

I don't wish to cause an Isreali vs. Arab arguement, but if you were one of the Isreali soldiers that were kidnapped by Hizbollah and presuming you had knolwedge of what was happening around you, would you feel disgusted that 400 people have died on both sides in relation to your capture or would you feel greatful that Isreal was using everything in their power to rescue you?

Well, one of his airforce jets, paid for by America, blew up a red cross convoy ambulance today, so they certainly are doing everything to get him back....

Those two soldiers are more than likely dead already.
Islamic extremists don't do mercy. Last time round, they exchanged dead bodies for prisoners.
To answer your question, if I had been captured by extremists and my head was lying on the other side of the room, my ghost would be screaming vengeance.
If my son were to be butchered by extremists I would make it my life's work to find those responsible.

Of course, by now there's also a distinct possibility they've been blown to pieces by their own air force.

I don't think what's happening really has much to do with the soliders at all. The Israeli response is not about the soliders themselves, but about the affront to their power in them being kidnapped.
If they really wanted the soldiers back, the Israelis would have agreed to some sort of prisoner exchange.

If i were a soldier i would have to accept the consequences of war. They knew what were the risks. And if i were in their places i think i would knew death was near and a thounsands of years war would just keep going.
Just proves the point that in a war a soldiers life is a number, a point of will, not a soul .
I hope war will end. But now it started please stop only when the arabian people realize they need to start to think for themselfs instead of believe in S%&%ip so called religious leaders!!!!

Although I would perhaps add to that, and only when people from Israel stop thinking it is OK to steal land from other people.....

Steal? Who stealed land? The Israel country gave all the land they conquered last war times. They even finally gave up some colonies. And suddently an attack to provoke.
No, Israel was finally in a standby position, a standby of peace.
The problem roots much more than simple provocation. I see this military intervention as an advance for the war in iraque: we can't avoid the idea that terrorism is being cultivated by power leaders because of oil, money, or mad fundamentalism. The middle east is IN NEED of a change. We are living in times that the world is a small place and we can't have bad neighbours.
The future i hope is that after the people of middle east gain their education and progress in culture (not to destroy their arabian culture, simply evolve it to a human rights time) another place of the world will reach another step in social evolution.
And the point is not saying that why not act in other places? like north corea, africa or else. The point is one of the imortal conditions for motivation: economics and resources.

Don't they have conscription in Israel?

Stealing land , as in the illegal settlements, I saw some illegal settlers on news boasting and grinning that they were going to "get away with it". You can't expect to rub people's noes in it and people not be upset.
