I had to smile, RF, because you are one of those old time hootooists who are hard to miss. I certainly recognise you and always look forward to reading damn near every word you say. Lately however my internet access is so limited I don't always get around as much anymore.

dunno if this has been said or not...but a fluid of any sort(including gas...which is technically a fluid) is not effected by the corriolis effect until 24 hours after it formed...thusly...a bathtub, toilet, sink, tonado, or rotating thunderstorm can rotate either way...although I've never observed any of them do as such...although I do know that tornadoes that rotate opposite of what is expected tend to be weaker...
