...th...the cartoons How could you?
Actually I have to admit to being a bit of a fan of Wowbaggers cartoons . So I can't talk .
And I think I was a little harsh yesterday. I think Terri said something along the lines of we don't want people to feel as though they're back in school, and have to read it, because then you don't enjoy it.
But at the same time if we don't prompt you then you'll never notice it. I guess its a balance

I'm a bit obsessed with Wowbagger and spimcoot cartoons, though Wotchit, Greebo and Tonsils cartoons a great as well
I think I've read every h2g2 life and most of Wowbagger's earlier cartoons. I haven't finished off the spimcoot archive yet

I first got into via the cartoons as well! I had just got a nasty paper cut & spotted "paper cuts" somewhere on my 2nd day of joining; it turned out to be spims cartoon series & I was hooked!
Then started on Wowbagger & I spent about 2 hours finding out about h2g2 life in an enormosly enjoyable way!
Terri.

I usually go through every thursday. Read the cartoons, some articles and meet-info.
I once won a prize in the smiley-competition, and get myself mentioned by Greebo now and then.

I must admit I'm a regular lurker - I remember winning one of Greebo's competitions but I don't tend to post anything. Surely you guys know what a great job you're doing already?

That's the problem.
You don't know.
My experience is I just fire the stuff off into the void and its only the feedback that tells me how I'm doing. I can open the window and lean out and listen for a chuckle, but it doesn't work usually.
So I am always grateful to anyone who posts something about what I've written

Oh, I know, Jodan - and thanks to yourself, Sprout, JEllen and anyone else
But it's not that I'm getting at.. what it is (and this is something I felt myself, before I started writing for the Post) .. is the time when you sit down and read something and think:
"That was good, but they must know that already"
.. so you don't post any feedback.
I've realised since then that no matter what you write, you simply don't know what is thought of it until someone tells you something. I don't care what people say - 'rubbish', 'good', whatever, and I don't believe that anyone should be cajoled into posting anything they don't want to.
What I want to get across is that, if someone feels strongly about something, they shouldn't not post it merely on the assumption that the writer already knows - because they don't - at least in my case.
I always appreciate it when people post something to whatever I wrote, because they took the time to do so, and it lets me know the thoughts of someone out there who read it.

I'll try my very hardest to post things under your column. If I forget (Which is bound to happen in the future) assume I enjoyed it!

Well, I posted to everything I read in the Post today, just to see what happened, but I'm not going to be doing that for the next twenty hours as I bought JK's doorstop today and I have been reading steadily for most of the afternoon and evening.
