just an interesting point- I thought the qwuestion was searching for "words" which are for things that don't exist.
Therefore, I would have thought philospher's stone and prince of darkness wouldn't count, as the words themslves represent things that do exist (philosphers, stones, princes and darkness all exist), it's the *phrases* which refer to non-existent things.

Words or phrases, does it really matter?
How about Poyais, a fictional country used in an elaborate 19th century scam to get money out of investors.

Words from works of fiction such as goblin, elf, fairy etc. don`t count because most of us understand the difference between fictional creatures and factual ones. Lord of the Rings for instance is a work of Fiction. Utopia is a word that describes like democracy, a condition of a society that may well have existed at some point in human history, however briefly.

Utopia and democracy, by mans very nature, cannot exist...

Democracy:
1 a : government by the people; especially : rule of the majority b : a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections.
This exists by the above definition in the U.K. where I live. It also
exists in many other countries too. o.k.
