What do you think of your life so far?
Blatherskite the Mugwump - Bandwidth Bandit Posted Mar 31, 2003
I've been rather successful both in love and career, which are the ways traditionally used to determine if someone has led a successful life. I'm much more comfortable economically than either of my parents ever were, and I've done an admirable job of learning from them and avoiding their mistakes (making mistakes that are disgracefully and completely my own). Along the way I've had some adventures that make for some entertaining stories, and learned a little bit.
But then, I guess it's easy to sound positive after learning I'll be moved into the group I wanted to work in, and (unrelatedly) getting a nice fat raise. Despite my cynical pessimism, I have to admit that sometimes, it sucks very little to be me.

So far, I would say that my life has been an unlikely success. I've not really made the most of the resources available to me, but I haven't completely wasted much of them. However, I'm counting on having another three or four times my current lifespan to do more things that I can be pleased about.

Ever since 2pm GMT on 21st February 2002 my life has been one of pure happiness.
Before then it was rubbish.
In general I find it to be a bit lumpy, but there seems to be plenty of cake.

My school report was right all along... I have singularly failed to live up to my potential... not a happy thought!
But then I have done some amazing things.. so now I are mostly confused!!

I feel that I have already lived too long....however on my gravestone it will have "she tried"....I have tried most things having lived nearly half a century.....and I've always tried to be myself.

I ate pizza and talked politics. Then died, and now my ghost haunts the internet. I was scared at first, because I'd thought it was haunted by pie or something.
someone in a very odd mood.

C+ : Could Try Harder. Through a combination of laziness and inattention, BS consistently fails to make the most of opportunities.
That's the story of my life...

I'm quite happy so far - I've done enough to not feel like I've been wasting my time but I've not made/kept as many friends as I would really like - but then I am pressed for time for myself at the moment never mind finding time to fit friends in.
It's hard not to be content when you are just starting nest building with someone you love...but I'm also well aware that things will change over time so I'm trying to make the most of the good times now just in case things get harder while hoping that things will just improve

I hated everything between the age of 11 and 17 (apart from fleeting moments) bloody hormones.
Uni has been a bit of a rollercoaster - I only really started enjoying it in my last year and suddely it was all gone.
Work is crap...I hate the person I have to be to get along at work - and everytime things start to look like they're getting better another pile of crap will land on my desk or I'll be moved in with another group of people
I really wish data input was better paid - if I could get £18k for typing in numbers all day I'd be fine

I think it's worth mentioning that in most of our lives things could be a LOT worse.
