Actually, I usually answer "Diagrams". KerrAvon might know what I mean, othewise I'll leave that as a mystery.

For my mobile it depends on my mood. Could be anything from "Hello" to a succinct "Wot?"

When I was having a bit of trouble with obscene phone calls at home, I never picked up till the answerphone kicked in and alternated the message between the theme from the Teletubbies, a recording of the two German Shepherd dogs next doors when the window cleaner calls and Grandad playing the solo to 'Crazy Train' with maximum feedback

Diagrams? If you work for the same industry as me, then I do, and I don't envy you your job!

Yes I do - I presumed you'd know what I was talking about. I hate trying to explain what I do to people who aren't in the industry - but when I do I get the same reaction!

It's not very exciting, I'm afraid. I work for the Fat Controller, and it's my job to ensure that Thomas knows where he is supposed to be, and where he is supposed to be going, and that he has Annie and Clarabelle with him. Is that any help?

I make sure that Thomas doesn't fall off the rails and has a smooth ride......
I don't like the fat controller much....

Aw, it's not that bad, Ben - I actually quite enjoy it. It helps a lot that we all get on really well with each other in our section, that can go a long way towards making an awful job tolerable, but I find the work quite interesting - some of the time at least. It's satisfying when I solve a thorny problem.
Perhaps I'm in a minority, though, most people don't like the sound of it at all!
Not sure I'd fancy your job though, Genie. We have a few of Thomas's friends that are a bit on the bouncy side and could set you a something of a challenge.

Well, it's my job to find out the stuff the engineers need to know so they can design Thomas in the first place, and fix Annabelle and Clarence

Everyone causes me problems captain!
What I should have said was that I make sure that the little men in orange jackets make sure that the rails are suitable for Thomas and Friends have a smooth ride!
