I see there is no thread for anecdotes.
This one is so good, I'm sure most have heard it. I heard it the first time a few days ago, so apologies if it's old news.
Bill Gates was doing a lecture to the automobile industry in the US. He said "If the autombile industry had progressed as much as the computer industry then cars would cost $1000 by now."
Straight away someone stood up and said "But who'd buy a car that crashes three times a day?".
