...and anyone else if you want to.
Did the researchers you met bear any resemblance to your mental images of them?
I thought Luckystar would be a short as she was (run) but with dark hair and had somehow got into my head that she was Luxembourgish () rather than the fiery headed NI lass that she is.
But the biggest surprise was Manda! I thought he was going to be a 20-ish bloke but turned out to be (carefully words it) upper middle aged scouse chap.
Liam.

For some reason you didn't look at all like I thought you would, but I wasn't sure at all what you'd look like anyway . However, my mental image soon reconciled with your physical form, so I shouldn't have that problem again.
There weren't very many surprises this time for me... I've been to too many meets!

You were a lot younger than I expected. My physical form and shirt meant that I was accosted by a drunk Irishman in the Shakespears Head and asked if I was playing for The Exiles on Sunday Now I know London Irish aren't on top form but...

I have a very poor mental imaging machine and so don't try to work out what people look like in advance. So I'm never confused in that manner. I think it is better not to try to work out what people look like, because then you might apply your prejudices to them unintentionally and the great thing about this place is that there can be none of that sort of thing.
Hmmm, having a cold seems to make me philosophical.

HAHA! And none of you know what I look like.
Sorry. I was feeling rather excluded from this thread. I'll go away now.

Noone knows what I look like...there are descriptions of my scars and my breasts somewhere onsite but I don't think I've ever mentioned my haircolour...maybe I should provide a piccy (although the only on I have online is from a field trip)

Captain - you looked nothing like I expected you to, but as i expcted you to look like a small, red -face monkey that's hardly surprising...

Most of the researchers I've met have looked about like what I expected - with the exception of Tacsatduck, Aaron O'Keefe, and Jimi X. I actually had my mental images kinda traded among those three.
What's more interesting for me is the voices - Uncle Heavy sounds nothing like I think he should , Aaron's a bit different from what I expected, but then every time I've seen/spoken to him he's been slightly inebriated.
My favorite misconception over the years is about UH, though. Everyone thought he was black, 40, and huge. So when in walks this Harry Potter look-alike and he claims to be UH, everyone just laughed. Or so I was told.

Im with Dr. M on this, I didnt have many preconceptions, probably because I can never remember faces well anyway...
There are those of you who I only met far enough in the night that the alcohol had taken its effects, and I know I met you, just cant place a face...
Some of you id seen from previous meet pics, so...
But Saturnine, I've seen you. I was asked to compare your a*se to Nyssa's at one point... Im sorry to say it, but Nyssas is the nicer...

*didn't attend the meet but has browsed thoroughly through Pastey's photos*
I realised I'd seen photos of most people in any case, so no real surprises. Liam's quite a bit fatter than I'd imagined.
DSJ looks a bit too disturbingly like someone I know, KerrAvon seems to have lost a bit of weight since the last photo, and Ashley's still wearing horrible shirts.
Oh, Pastey, if you send photo 38 in to FHM they might send you £200.
*looks forward to the Post's comedy caption competition*
