I don't want to read the whole of HP book 4 again tonight to find this out so I thought I would ask you knowledgable people!
Sirius can turn himself into a dog, James Potter into a horse (? or something) and the other guy turned into Ron's Rat but what animal did Snape turn himself into.
Please help I am trying to be creative and write a chapter for my fanfic group and this little detail os annoying me!
Thanks friends!

No, Maybe, Yes. It has not been revealed in the story that Snape can change into any animal. But who knows what book 5 will bring.

Snape can't change into animals at the moment. There were the original 4 mentioned above who could change into animals, but Snape wasn't in that crowd.

Yup, Snape isn't an animagus. However:
James Potter (Stag)
Sirius Black (Dog)
Peter Pettigrew (Rat)
Rita Skeeter (Beetle)
are all unregistered animagi. Minerva McGonagall (cat) is legally registered, and by far the cutest in animal form

Another on the list that can make JKP (or indeed her agents) look somewhat on the...keen for profit side?
It's never an endearing trait...

It's a big book, and that's the hardback edition... this kind of pricing is normal at the present time, especially for popular literature.

Hi Hazelnut,
Yes I pre-ordered book 5 from Amazon, in hardback for around $17.50 U.S. I not sure what that is in British Sterling.

I heard it is 848 pages long!
WOW
Aparently it is that long because she was reading chapters to a little girl dying of cancer and the child kept asking questions so she changed parts of the book!
Quite a sweet story and would also explain why it took such a long time (that and the fact she had a baby aswell)
I have stacks of books I want to read so I can wait until June
Heard today the HP&COS is due out on the 11th April! another thing I will be pre-ordering! Last time I got a free mug and poster with the first film!
I know I am sad but if things make you happy why not!
Take care

I would take the story about the little girl dying of cancer with a grain of salt. That sound a lot like an urban legend.
The baby story I would believe.

She's also had a lot on her plate with the movies.

She was also sued for copyright infringements. A case which she won and that also put a hold on the book.
