Oh, I forgot --

Who wrote Beethoven's Tenth Symphony?

Answer:

Brahms. Beethoven only wrote nine symphonies, but Brahms's first symphony is sometimes referred to as 'Beethoven's Tenth'.

I think these should be Jeopardy questions. I would pay good money to see those eggheads get these questions wrong.

Hmm, 'where are they from' is a bit misleading for 'chinese gooseberries' - the original species is a native Chinese plant, Actinidia chinensis, even if all the modern commercial growers are in New Zealand.

kea ~ Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the Galaxy lies a small, unregarded but very well read blue and white website

i was standing at a smoothie counter in sydney some years back, reading the menu. i said to the man behind the counter that if he was really putting kiwi in the kiwi smoothie he would upset all the new zealanders (you know bits of feather and beak) not to mention the sensibilities of forest and bird members. he didn't laugh.

calling kiwifruit 'kiwi' is a foreign invention smiley - winkeye to which i am totally opposed.

could be worse though. anyone heard of zespri ?
