Everyone has a relative who makes the best something-or-other in the world. What's yours?

My Nan makes the best cheese straws in the world, but she's refusing to give me the recipe. I think this is her way of guaranteeing more visits from her grandsons.

My mum makes a delicious quiche, and she's not too bad with brown bread either! My wife makes a great lamb casserole too...

My 8-year old daughter makes a damn fine brown bread!

Next week - Woodpigeons Mum vs. Gnomon's daughter in a live bakery cook-off.

My Nan's stuffing is unbeatable.

My Mum does a great stuffed Marrow. Not sure what she does to the gravy but its great.

My Mum's steak pie and my grandma's yorkshire pudding.

My mum does a mean filled yorkshire pud. A big yorkshire with sausages, gravy, green beans, carrots.

My grandmother makes a to-die-for Pea and Ham soup. Love it.

My gran makes the best Lamingtons and rum-balls

My mother makes a fantastic lasagne, learned from a real Italian.

My mother-in-law makes excellent tamales, she's a real Mexican.

My Argentine grandmother makes the best gnocchi on earth.

Could I ask Apparition what exactly Lamingtons and rum-balls are?

My wife makes the best roast potatoes in the history of the cosmos. All floury on the inside and crisps on th eoutside with lovely little crispy bits stuck all over them....Roast dinner just isn't Roast dinner without them!

Mmmmm...can't beat good roasties.

Oh god! Why did you have to start this thread off! I'm now finding it impossible to concentrate on work... My old man makes the world's best bacon and onion suet pudding , which I haven't had in ages and you just can't get suet pastry out here anyway!
