Does the country you lve in have the rights and freedoms of it's citizens enshrined in law? If so then any hostile action taken against your nation is a threat to your liberty... that is assuming you are not a collaborator...

My country is not synonymous with my liberty. Threats to the latter are not only from outside the former, nor even connected with it. And my liberty is more important than my country.
