Why do we want to ask 'The Question'?

Okay, it clearly says on the 'Ask' page "Do not ask What is the answer to Life, The Universe and Everything", so why do I (and presumably others) keep getting the urge to ask it!?

Perhaps it means, Do not ask *other people* that question, ask yourself. Maybe the answer - if there is an 'answer' - needs to come from within, and will be different for each of us.

Human intelligence has evolved along the lines of every effect having a cause so when we want to investigate something we seek out it's cause. Unfortunately we take this too far and seek to find a cause of life, the universe and everything.

I personally don't think we are meant to know everything.Our little brains could never cope unless we network all our skulls together to become one huge super intelligent human brain.Hmm!A thinking internet!Of course it would all come to a stop every time we have to stand in a Starbucks queue deciding which type of froth we want.
