I make up my own superstitions - if I have to take a trip and I'm concerned about the car's fitness, I buy a lottery ticket and never check to see if it won. The theory is that any luck associated with the lottery ticket gets transferred to the car.

And it drives some people absolutely *nuts*!

Wish I were having more luck with this PC today behaving odd doesn't do it credit I've tried talking with it... reasoning with it.... threatening it with violence.... checkeding settings drivers etc.... but it just won't see sense

(The lottery ticket in the drive might just work - we use dollar bills to clean the card readers at work...)

I have several superstitious-type things I do, but the lottery ticket is the only one that bugs anyone else, 'cause it's the only one outside of my head.

If the heel of my left hand itches, my bank account is probably needing attention. (The two happened to coincide several times, and now it's automatic to check the account at the first itch.)
