'Not A Penny More...' is definitely the best Archer book, as long as you don't want anything too serious. If you want to know more about his personal life, I suggest you try 'First Among Equals'. Apparently he was the inspiration for most of the stuff that his corrupt politicians get up to. 'Shall We Tell The President' is a decent thriller as well. Avoid 'A Matter of Honour'.

St.Emily - I have a couple of those books too. Brave New World, penguin modern classic 1975 paperback. Also on the top shelf Shirley, a tale by Currer Bell new edition 1870 hardback in red leather.
