Desktop is black with a GAP logo in the middle and the phrase 'Hitler wore khakis' beneath it.
Screensaver is Viz's patented World Wide Wigs screensaver, that used to have very irritating music on it until my co-workers made me get rid of it.

Oooh Oooh Do I win something?! It did require me sitting away from my monitor to resolve what the hell it looked like.

It's abstract, but it's not nonrepresentational.
There's a difference.

On top of my monitor lies a small black and white fluffy toy. It's supposed to be a sheep, but it looks more like a cow. It's got a black and white checkered scarf around its neck, and it's lying flat on its belly, all four legs stretched out, wiggling it's bum in the air. Well, ok, it isn't atually wiggling it, because it's a toy and it doesn't move, but you get the idea.
I bought it as a gift to this man who... no, that's another story. For some reason or other, though, I didn't give it to him. And, him being 800 miles away, all I've got is this fluffy little sheep on top of my monitor.

My screensaver is a real-time view of the Earth as it would appear from the Moon. (and no, I can't see the great wall of China )
My desktop picture is a colour enhanced picture of a volcano in the Andes as taken from a satellite.

I use Webshots. So today's wallpaper is my younger son pretending to be Robin Hood in Sherwood Forest. The screensaver is a selection of photos in and around my home in Lincolnshire. Last week it was a re-run of Duncan's wedding pictures
