Where I wait
I might as well confess straight away. The reason I'm here - when indeed I am here, which so far seems to be once every two years - it's very likely to be because I struggle with time. I wait for something to happen (or possibly for something to stop happening), and in order to make time pass more quickly, I hang around places like this.
These days, there is essentially only one thing I keep waiting for, and that is being able to see, or perhaps just talk to, my latest addiction. I probably have more addictions that I care to admit to myself, the three major ones being cigarettes, white wine and my dog, and now the last few weeks have brought a fourth, and extremely serious one. This new addiction is tall, dark and handsome... 
...and I have absolutely no idea what to do with my time when I'm not actually with him, or talking to him on the phone.
Of course, there's always the dog, and I probably smoke and drink a lot more than I usually do, but time still appears like something akin to continental drift.
This state of being utterly and helplessly in love is, by the way, also a disclaimer for anything silly I might happen to say in the forseeable future.
