Does anybody else still listen to Crass?

There is a huge biography on the life and times of Penny Rimbaud which obviously has a large section on Crass. If any one is interested I can dig out publisher, writer etc.
I am still working on ( and will be for some time yet) my punk entry. Not so much a history, more like a drunked trawl through my memories which will probably start from the Damned in late '76 to the end of new wave(Subs, Ruts, Conflict etc)
Don't hold your breath waiting tho"
I'm still at The Clash play the Rainbow '77.

A Penny Rimbaud biography? Wow, gimmie gimmie.
And if anyone wants a good place to start with Conflict then the compilation "Standard Issue" is a pretty good place to start. It's a record i 'm constantly regretting having lost.
In fact i'm off to see if i can find a copy for sale online...

A Penny Rimbaud biography?
That wouldn't be "Shibboleth - my revolting life" written by the man himself and published by AK Press (ISBN 1-873176-40-6) by any chance would it?

I've still got Increse the Pressure (good) and The Final Conflict (patchy, but worth it for the reggae track and the rap cover of the A-Team theme) and Against All Odds (very patchy).
I did have Standard Issue (singles) and (one possibly called) It's Time to See Who'se Who - both of which were brlliant. Both long since 'liberated, by one of the many souls who have felt the need to free me from the shackle of property and redistribute my wealth.

And, even better - I just found out I still own "Subvert" by Zoundz? Does anybody remember them?

Yes, I remember Zounds, I had the Album with the Firemen pouring petrol on the Houses of Parliament as a cover. Don't think I've heard them for 13 years! A band from that time that I still listen to a lot are The Subhumans. Always thought they should of got more praise than they did!

I remember when Crass brought out their Greatest Hits album. After screaming about capitalism and over priced records, it was really quite humerous.
I also recall an interview with the band members and they said that they had huge problems with simple things like going on holiday coz everyone who followed them seemd to think that Holidays were another sellout.
In concert, they screamed about all kinds of wrong doings and evilness about conforming to capitalist ideals. I think that the punks in their leather jackets and mohicans jumping around in the front row had somehow missed the point.
Laughable ... occasionaly humerous ... oh yes, I remember Crass alright.

Subhumans became Culture Shock (Well the singist did) and then Citizen Fish. Cradle to Grave was fantastic (one album-one song) but Onwards and Upwards by Culture Shock was even better.
I learned the guitar playing to Conflict...

I still own most of the Subhumans' records... and went to a lot of Subhumans and Culture Shock an Citizen Fish gigs... They were quite popular here in Germany and I remember the singer as a really nice bloke to talk to

I was at a Subhumans gig and the singer (I think his name was Dick?) was stopped by some blokes outside and told that this was a punk gig and that no-one with long hair and thick rimmed glasses would be allowed inside!
Imagine the surprise when .... etc, etc.

If anyone has a copy of the "All the arms we need" poster that came with one of the Subhumans albums, i would truely love a copy or a scan of it. Mine has long since gone by the wayside.
