Awesome Brazil

There was a lovely Danish chap on the radio this morning being asked about rivalry between the two countries. He said he thought it would be a very friendly game and that it is a shame it will happen so early in the competition as it was his dream for a Denmark-England final
Awesome Brazil

I agree - though I haven't yet watched Brazil's match of today - that the Brazilians look as a quite challenging opponent. Well - we lost to Brazil in the '98 quarter finals and if the match will be as good as it was then (IMHO the 98 cup's best match), I can live with that again
Given that we survive on Saturday, of course... I think the Dnaish chap, whoever he was, is probably right in assuming a friendly game - neither England or Denmark normally go out to beat the other guys up, luckily.

Should be a good game on Saturday - clean but hard fought.
Both teams play to a similar style - so should be interesting.
My prediction is for England to shave it by the odd goal in 3 - i.e. 2-1.
Then we get to play Brazil in the QF - one of the better defenses in this World Cup against the best attack - should be interesting - if England get that far I suspect that they will play 4-5-1 and look to score on the counter attack - with Nicky Butt playing the holding role in front of the back 4 and Paul Scholes acting as the link to the loan forward (Michael Owen).
Wow! Is this for real?

No, i got that link wrong - i've not done this before maybe it's this one: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/F19585?thread=189227 It's the thing about the game to see who's the worst team in the world...

Japan have just won their group, with Belgium in second place and the Russians going home.
Now all it needs is for the USA and South Korea to top their group to end an amusing week for the so called footballing powers.

Well, I can see USA beating Poland, but not South Korea doing the business against Portugal.
On the form so far, Brazil vs Spain for the final.

Hopefully Portugal and S Korea will go through.

I was hoping portugal would join the Argentina, France and Russia in the bin, to be honest. Oh well, at least South Korea will go through...

Well as it stands at the moment:
Poland 2 USA 0
Portugal 0 SK 0
Then Portugal and SK go through
