For what purpose? If you're talking about fractions (which I assume you are), I think it's a forty-second. However, if you want to talk about a shark at the time, it *could* be a forty-tooth. If you really wanted it to be.

Boringly, I think it's "one forty-second part", and the "part" part is obligatory. One good reason for not talking about maths too often.
