Here's my Nostradamus bit:
I predict that someone famous will die on New Year's Day.
Predictions for 2006
Special Agent Poops Posted Jan 2, 2006
Five Eastenders characters will die by either getting run over, shot, or hit on the head with something (there doesnt seem to be any other cause of death around there), and at least two other characters will become pregnant and have an abortion, miscarriage, or stillbirth.
All these lovely events will happen in the run-up to next Christmas and New Year to cheer the British soap-watching public up.

The Groob Posted Jan 2, 2006
I was about to say, the most miserable and depressing of events will be crammed into the Christmas episode.
And one that I wrote before in the Facts of Life thread:
Every celebrity show on BBC1 will include at least one actor from Eastenders.

pieshifter Posted Jan 2, 2006
The year will start with the usual excitement of wondering what the new year will bring.
1st of jan will bring non stop summer holiday adverts.
We will see more of what we have just had weather-wise where 1/2 inch of snow will cripple the road network and cause numerous accidents.
Summer will consist of 3 or 4 blistering hot days where the temp will hit 32 dges c. These days will be non consecutive and be spread randomly across the six week school holiday period which will otherwise be overcast or rainy.
Once the kids are back at school the shops will be full of halloween stuff/fireworks, to be replaced by advent calendars/selection boxes at the earliest opertunity.
Christmas will come and go and make you wonder what all the panic was about and why you bought so much food/drink.
A year today and you'll be wondering where 2006 went.

I'm kinda hoping that Kylie Minogue - unlike many other singers - resists the temptation to come back with a soppy, nobby comeback song. Like Gloria Estefan 'Coming out of the dark' or Marti Pellow 'Been around the world now I'm back again' or Stephen Gately 'New beginning'.

Primeval Mudd (formerly Roymondo) Posted Jan 8, 2006
I hope Kylie makes a comeback single. Doesn't matter what it is, I probably won't like it, but still...
Here's someone's predictions for beyond 2006:

'I forsee the world shall not end with a bang, nor a whimper but a kind of en masse tut.'

Gordon Brown has said Britain should have a day to celebrate its national identity. Within the next week I betcha someone claims it's un-pc or racist.

Well my "return of master b" prediction has already happened.
Does that make me the winner of the "first correct" prediciton comp?

In keeping with tradition, I predict that GRJ will change his name back to SpinksSecret and post a 'Predictions for 2007' thread.

The Groob Posted Jan 17, 2006
I'm now expecting an avalanche of politically correct Hollywood movies.
I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that, but I reckon a lot of Hollywood types have just spotted a bandwagon.

I predict that some will forget that I already started a predictions for 2007 thread and start another one.
