Black Books, which finished its run a couple of weeks ago on Channel 4. It is completely hilarious, series one is out now on DVD and it has been a joy to watch again.

I enjoyed Black Books as well.
I never miss ER, so I'd say it was my favourite program, closely followed by Fraiser, and then Channel 4's Top Ten series. And How to be a Gardener is bloody great too.

Did anyone catch Book Group on Friday night? I thought it was excellent. It really made me laugh and my toes were curled with embarrassment on behalf of the american girl by the end of it. Don't really know how to catagorise it though - it was very odd.

I watched Book Group too, I think it will improve. The mix of people seemed enough to be really interesting, if not very funny.

The Book Group was great. A bit jumpy, but it has great potential. Otherwise, my fave programmes are Red Dwarf and Black Books.

Spaced was an absolute must-see, it fitted like a glove.
South Park is still outrageously brilliant and the Simpsons just goes from strength to strength.
From way back it was a close call between Do Not Adjust Your Set, Banana Splits, Cabbages & Kings, and others lost in the mists of time.
Oops, my age is showing...

Farscape is the king of all television programs, real characters, surrealism, evil villans, some of the funniest moments on television (and muppets, what more do you want?) Raw is War, also, just because it has the comedy genius that is Kane
I thought that Book Group was good, in a couple of places it really showed the potential there Well, until later...

Blackadder, of course. Oh, and Black Books is the best sitcom I've seen in a very, very long time. Bernard Black, let me be your summer girl...

Black adder and Not the Nine O'clock News are both classics. Local Heroes with Adam Hart-Davis and University Challenge are always interesting

My favourite programme at the mo' is probably 24 (nice to see some original programming coming from the United States )
The Simpsons is still a favourite, as is South Park.

I don't watch much TV at all these days so no real favourites just now (Black Books looked good from the one episode I saw, I must agree). Tastes have changed over the years but the shows I really hated missing in times past were Star Trek (with James T Kirk), the Goodies, Not the Nine O'Clock News, Fawlty Towers, Life on Earth. And guess what (is this unique in TV owning families?), I have never ever seen a whole episode of any soap apart from Dallas which my family used to watch just for laughs.
I did like Local Heoes with Adam Hart-Davies a lot too.
Looking back, I would say the Goodies was the one I liked most.

I've hardly ever seen Soaps, either. I remember I saw a whole episode of Coronation Street for the first time in 1995. It was nothing to write home about Don't think I've ever watched it since.
I sometimes catch parts of Brookside - I can't stand it. Most of the characters are loathsome and they have a habit of preaching at one another. Suppose that makes it closest to life, really....
