So now I'm not writing a training document about Lotus Notes.

i'm not preparing for a big sub-committee meeting or the big committee on top of it,
i'm not sending out papers for a validation meeting,
i'm not trying to set up a staff development day,
i'm not trying to re-write a couple of handbooks,
i'm not preparing for another big validation event,
i'm not trying to see applications smoothly through the process
i'm not massaging the egos of all the convenors i have to work with
i'm not trying to put together an induction programme
(and these are just today's jobs!)

is anyone avoiding as much work as me?

I should be banging heads togther at university. I'm not. but I should be.

gosh banging heads together sounds fun - any especial reason why or just gratuitous?

I am once again avoiding decorating my flat. need to rent out a room and so need to paint it first have done the small room. no one wanted now have to do the big room before the mortgage company get too keen.

I should be writing a paper right now for one of my classes but instead I am here.

Where else should I be on a Sunday evening when the TV/Radio are c**p and I've read every book in the house.Catch me dusting,ironing never.I'm with Quentin Crisp about dusting.If you leave it long enough it doesn't get any worse.Also as the entire household despite my best efforts thinks of the floor as a filing system who am I to try and disarrange their system by vacuuming.So I'm in the right place at the moment.Of course I SHOULD be sipping a cocktail on a Jamaican beach but fat chance of that.

I'm sitting in the university library with a project group watching one of our members pound out a lab report. At least I look busier than the other two guys.

I am avoiding coding a fix to prevent the users creating a claim if the policy has a missing section, risk or coverage record because it is far too tedious a job for a human....even a nerd such as myself.

I'm posting here and not reading chapters 1-12 of book one and chapters 6 - 9 of book 10 from Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics, which I'll need in my lecture this afternoon.

Having finished my own piece of work I should be helping my colleagues finish theirs, however, as a reward for my own efficiency I am pretending I am still working by messing about here.

I am not going through the results of the last years work checking to see if my maths is right. For that would be FAR too depressing, seeing as how my maths is worse than that of a below intellectual avarage neanderthal...

Lots of people around not studying. I am not going down the pub. i have to break the habbit. Also not listening to my new son cry and i miss that.

I'm relaxing after work, so if anyone has so much housework to do that they need a hand with not doing it then i'll chip in and avoid doing it with them.
