Drink more alcohol
Or...
Drink lots and lots (I'm talking at least 2 litres) of water - nothing will 'cure' the hangover, you have to wait for the alcohol to get out of your system, but the water replaces fluids around your brain and stops you feeling so seedy. *then* go out and eat a really greasy hamburger with the lot...just cos it'll make you feel human again.

No joke, a mild hangover can be cured by drinking a small amount of alcohol. This deadens the pain and allows you to dry out slowly. This process is known as "hair of the dog".
But a bad hangover can not be cured in this way because your stomach will probably not be able to take the alcohol.
Lots of water really is the best way.

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Posted Aug 9, 2001
You can cure a hangover the night before, the morning after, I.E. when you get back from drinking; take at least a litre of water on board, eat a couple of hard boiled eggs, (something to do with protein and water homoeostasis I think), drink a bottle of tonic water (yucl!), and more water, and sleep, and probably still wake up with a hangover!
The best way is just to never get hangovers?

Or just drinking water after you've stopped drinking alcohol is good - you'll be up all night and your bladder will hate you, but you *will* feel so much better the morning after

In the morning, you need six things:
1. Liquid
2. Sugar
3. Caffeine
4. Carbohydrate
5. Fresh air
6. Quiet
Suggestion: hot sweet tea/coffee or a coca-cola, plus a pain-auchocolat, or a choclate spread and peanut butter sandwaich, and a gentle walk away from loading lorries, pneumatic drills etc. Your tummy will rebel, so get the fresh air ASAP. It does work - promise ->

Water, water and more water - that's definately the way to go. I think if you stick to lager rather than ale or guinness, that makes things easier - but since lager tastes awful, I'd rather have the hangover. But the darkness of the drink is proportional to the awfulness of the hangover.
Have something to eat - get someone to cook a fry-up. Your stomach may turn at the very thought, but after one bite you'll realise how hungry you are.

Have a hot whiskey (Boiling water, single whiskey, sugar, lemon, cloves, 2 tablespoons of sugar) and go back to bed.

I had about four pints of water before bed but it didn't work. I still feel like puking.
Hair of the dog would help, but unfortunately i'm at work so it wouldn't be a good idea.

Love to go back to bed but there isn't one in the office.

A lot of the problems are the additives in the alcohol, so try something that has a detoxifying effect. I'd make you some dandelion tea if you were here, but you're not. Drink lots of water to rehydrate you, put a teaspoon of salt in it, and sugar to disguise the taste (but only if you're brave).

If you have a sauna or jacuzzi available, you're in luck. Drink LOADS of water, take a multivitamin and ibuprofin and eat a banana. Spend about 10 minutes sweating in the sauna/jacuzzi, then jump in a cold pool and swim a few laps. If there isn't a pool, rinse off for a few minutes in a cold shower, then back into the heat again. Do that 3 or 4 times, and continue to drink water. It seems to get all the toxins out.
Then make a fruit smoothie in the blender with ice, banana, milk, egg, whatever other fruits you feel like adding. You'll be a new person.

Ugh! No milk in smoothies please! (sorry to interrupt.)

not a lot of milk.... just enough to give it a creamy texture, like a milkshake. That's a preference thing, I guess.

When I first saw smoothies, I thought they had milk in. My kid is allergic to milk, and I am intolerant, so when I found out they didn't, we started drinking them like there was no tomorrow. They are gorgeous, but if people put milk in them they are out of our reach. Camden has a stall that make them in front of you, looks horribly messy, but if I died after I had one, I'd die happy.

I have found if you take 2 asprines and drink 3 glasses of water before bed will kill alot of the headache part. Then in the morning drink lots of water avoid caffine and eat a big breakfast of eggs and potatoes. shower with as much hot water as possible and make yourself sweat for as long as you have hot water then cool off. should make you feel human again
