Has anybody actually tried being more assertive/bitchy and noticed a change in the type of attractee?

I've considered it, cuz although I'm quite confident, I just turn to goo with my men and want to do everything I can for them so they end up taking me for granted and disrespecting me which makes me not happy so I have to break up the relationshiop

I don't like to think I've got low self esteem! But it's more than likely very true, though my mate's wouldn't say that, just my ex's. One friend said recently I was 'fiercely independant'!

Glad I'm not the only one! It is No need to be confused, I tend to ramble about whatever thought is going through my head, and it's a bit of a total melee up there!

Going to book a hairdressers appointment inna min, as I think that'll help! Though getting it done by trainees cuz I'm too skint to pay!

In my new job there are lots of nice friendly guys

Had a nice sleep last night and feel a lot more positive! Only I can fix this self esteem issue (god it's an 'issue' now!). I think I'll ramble on in my journal, then at least if I get boring it won't be taking up space in general conversation!

It's not a big problem, but it is a pain in the a$$, because it affects your confidence.

Talking of arrogant twits; was chatting to a friend (S) on MSN last night, and she'd been chatting to a male friend of one of her friends (V)(you keeping up?!), who apparently had wanted to meet S. Though he then said, unless she was at least two stone lighter than V, he wouldn't want to meet her and V isn't even majorly overweight, she's just normal! What an absolute ignoramus!

We were chatting quite happily before I deleted meself, things only got past that when I left though for reasons beyond our control we can't get together yet

Some say all you need to get a girl is confidence. But how are you supposed to get that confidence, when you can't get a girl? Every year that goes by without a girl just makes me feel like more of a loser.

I think if you do things that make you feel good about yourself, then you're more confident

I think if you're a nice person, you want to be with a nice person, and are less likely to be with somebody just for the sake of it, cuz neither of you want to hurt the other one, cuz you're both nice! So you end up single longer?

If we had no standards whatsoever, having a boyfriend/girlfriend wouldn't be a problem.
