Two Bit Trigger Pumping Moron

I still want to know what all those people do who work downtown in those big glass buildings. Does anyone here know? Does anyone know whow they get those jobs?

A friend of mine said that you it's amazing how far you can go in the private sector if you show up on time, work, and are polite to the public. I've been doing that in the public sector for $30,000 a year. Maybe it's time for me to try out the private sector.

The military tradition of sharp dress (to which TwoBit has become accustomed) comes from the regimental association with kings and dukes and other fancy dressers. They simply take fashion and all its impulses up a notch.
The Bearskin hats of the Royal Guards, the plumed helmets, the sashes, the colours, the trim... are full of historical significance.
But the impulse to decorate the body, especially when going into battle, is really an ancient and primitive one. (Piercings anyone?)
I suggest, TwoBit haste himself to a library and look at a few illustrated histories of military uniforms. A look at the war of 1812 especially will stand you in good stead before nipping off to a tailor to prep for your foray into the glass towers. This was a time when Class distinctions were blurred by peacockery and it carried over into the business world ever since. But rest assured, everything you learned about dress in the military will serve you well in the corporate world but remember to dress like a Colonel, think like a camoflaged commando private, and talk like a Sargeant Major (ie:only when you have to and then with authority). You'll be a Captain of Industry in no time. It worked for a Corporal named Napoleon.

There are some people who overdress. Like when you think you are being approached by some highly decorated general. But it turns out to be a guy from poland customs.
