In the late eighties, early nineties there was a cartoon to which I cannot remember and quite frankly it is driving me mental.
The toon featured a pup called Pete who was searching for his master with the help from a pack of stray dogs. The other dogs included "Duke" a mongrel with a neckachief, a cowardly greyhound and I think there was a St. Bernard too.
Anyone know???

This isn't "Rude Dog and the Dweebs" is it? The supporting characters sound similar. They were all angularly drawn and drove a purple cadillac?

Found it!
After an hour of surfing I have finally come up trumps. It was made in 1993 after first appearing in Scooby and scrappy Puppy hour. The characters in the gang were Petey, Dolly, Duke, Dash, Lucky and father. And it ran for 13 episodes. It was called....... (building up tension).......... "Puppies New Adventures".

One of the great, unanswered questions of our time, picked up on, of course, by the wise Munchkin:
Why Scrappy Doo? Who ever thought that that misbegotten mutt was a good idea? For goodness sake did anybody like Scrappy?

Nope. Hated the little beggar. Then again, all the characters pale into comparison with that God of slackness, Shaggy (or to do it in the proper Scooby accent, 'Wraggy' ).

Any attempt to spread this insanity will be met with resistance up to and including loud references to music from "The Archies" and if that's not enough, solo performances by either Bullwinkle or Snagglepuss.

[The thought of a wise Munchkin is ever so scary!]
A couple of years ago I was bought a Scooby Doo train set for my Christmas. It has a little track, train, spooky scenery and little models of all the cast. I discovered that you could put all the regulars in the wagon, Scrappy on the tracks, and then the little train would happily run the little £%!$^%& over. Quite possibly the best present I have ever received
