hey all, if no one minds I'm gonna finish Thoran's current mission threads on my own (Fay was gonna do them but gave me permission to end it as she isn't online anymore). I'm then gonna head back to the main city etc. Only problem is i have no idea what is going on there and don't want to walk back to the city only to find I've walked through the enemy army. So basically... what is happening??

That's actually similar to how the practice started: Priests and monks would annonymously listen to each others confesions from opposide sides of a monastery wall.
